Glass Boxes
Packaging | Branding | Illustration
This project focused on creating a rebranded set of glass boxes used for shipping and display. I was tasked with updating the graphics for these boxes with McGrory Glass Systems’ new branding as well as additional elements such as the pillar icons and a QR Code for their website. These designs are currently in production and will be used on new packaging for McGrory’s products.

The Problem
McGrory Glass Systems’ small glass box was designed in order to store and showcase the company’s glass samples. The box is specifically designed to have the ability to remove the inner layer, flip the upper layer upside-down, and place the inner layer back inside the upside-down upper layer to show these samples seamlessly. However, this causes a major design flaw where McGrory’s branding is completely flipped, making it harder for architects and companies to easily spot McGrory’s products from a distance.
The Solution
In order to solve this design problem, the graphics of the small glass box need to work both upside down and upright. The solution was to showcase the wordmark and the McGrory Glass Systems’ dog icon twice on the sides of the upper layer, one being flipped and the other on its normal direction. In addition, the 2 versions of these logos where colored differently to better contrast between them while adding additional elements such as the pillar icons and a QR code. By implementing this system, McGrory is able to showcase its glass samples thoroughly without its branding being miscommunicated.
